Organic Exchange Certification of Textiles by OneCert Inc.
Standards for tracking and documenting the purchase, handling, and use of certified organi-cally farmed cotton fiber ( or organic‐in ‐conversion cotton fiber ) in yarns, fabrics and fin-ished goods. The two standards are:
 
    The Organic Exchange 100 Standards—for 95%-100% organic cotton content
 
    The Organic Exchange Blended Standards—for 5%-95% organic cotton blends
 

What are benefits of Organic Exchange Certification?

•
Integrity.  Add validity to your claims and assure your customers that organically grown cot-ton is being used at the percentage indicated on the label.
•
Simplicity. No processing criteria or input limitations, goods certified to the OE Standards only need to have the organic fiber content tracked and verified.
•
Marketing. OE certified goods may be marketed and labeled with the coinciding OE logo, both of which are internationally recognized.
•
Blending.  Unlike other organic textile standards, the OE standards allow for blending organic cotton with conventional cotton (or other fibers) at levels as little as 5% organic content.
•
Growth.  Encourage the global development of organic cotton farming.
   

Organic Exchange Certification is an excellent tool on its own, but can also be used as a sim-ple step towards more comprehensive certification, such as to the Global Organic Textiles Standards ( GOTS ). Additionally, the OE standards are often applicable to goods that can-not be GOTS certified.  Therefore, OneCert can help you meet your organic certification needs by performing a GOTS assessment with your OE certification or by certifying your products to the OE standards and GOTS simultaneously.
